At Suhru Wines the goal is to make the wines we most enjoy—crisp, bright white wines and fruit forward red wines with soft tannins and medium body. We strive to create easy drinking, approachable, food friendly wines that complement our local environment and the local foods and produce grown in the area. Our white wines in particular are a beautiful compliment to local Long Island seafood.
Suhru Wines leans towards medium-bodied reds which are some of the best food pairing wines. Medium-bodied reds tend to be well balanced with a harmony of fruit, acidity, and tannin making them incredibly versatile, pairing well with a range of foods from pizza to roast meats; hearty vegetable soups to burgers.
White wines in the region can emulate a number of characteristics including being crisp and dry, aromatic with exotic notes, or rich, full bodied and deeply scented. At Suhru Wines we produce fresh, crisp, dry white wines that are very drinkable with bright acidity making them a wonderful compliment to the local seafood and produce grown in the region as well as lighter style dishes.
