Join artists Melissa Hyatt & Christie Jones for an evening of watercolors!
During this two-hour class, led by local watercolor artist Melissa Hyatt, you will enjoy a glass of Suhru wine while painting a sweet piping plover. Melissa will share her tips and techniques for painting while taking you step by step through her process. All levels welcome. Come explore your creativity with us!
Learn about Christie’s non-toxic, handmade watercolor paints & process through a meditative mixology demonstration. You will learn how to draw the bird, mix the paints, play with wet on wet techniques and wet on dry. Using color theory and with Melissa’s guidance you will learn to mix the paints to achieve the grays and browns. We will play with layering the paint to create the piece and add details while experiencing the magic world of watercolor.
This 2 hour class with Melissa includes all Watercolor materials to create your own 5x7 piece and frame, a trio set of Christie’s handmade watercolor paint colors in recycled shells which you will take home after the class, and one (1) glass of Suhru wine. Additional glasses available for purchase throughout the event.
Seating is limited. Pre-purchased tickets required. Refunds are not available for this event, if you are unable to attend, your ticket can be transferred to another attendee however it’s your responsibility to find a substitute. Registration is required to attend.
