Every Sunday in July, August & September we will be featuring a local business at our Tasting House. It has been a difficult year for all of us. With regulations lifted we are excited to welcome back our fellow small businesses to the Tasting House and help our guests discover a few new favorite local spots!
We invite you to join us this Sunday, September 5th of Labor Day weekend for oysters on the half shell and a glass of wine! Southold Bay Oysters will be at the Tasting House shucking Long Island's finest Southold Shindig Oysters from 1-5pm! In addition, local watercolor artist Melissa Hyatt will be showcasing her stunning nature watercolor prints and products.

A shellfish farm growing Southold Shindig Oysters in the waters of Southold Bay, on the North Fork of Long Island, NY. Southold Shindigs are Eastern Oysters (Crassostrea Virginica) or Atlantic Oysters. They are “true oysters” native to the eastern seaboard of North America. Southold Shindigs are grown in deep water in the center of Southold Bay. Their taste profile begins with a burst of brinines that quickly transitions to a smooth vignette with a hint of sweetness and mineral finish.
Featured Local Business: Melissa Hyatt
Melissa Hyatt is an accomplished watercolor artist, surface pattern designer, and illustrator. Her design process is inspired by the beauty that surrounds her sunlit studio on Long Island’s North Fork.
Freshly shucked oysters and watercolor prints will be available at the Tasting House from 1-5pm on Sunday, September 5th.
