About the Artist: Julia King
A natural born rebel, with a voice like honey on gravel, singer-songwriter Julia King has never really fit a mold and doesn’t plan to. King’s passion for music has deep roots. Growing up on a farm on the East End of Long Island, she was raised on 50’s classics, Motown, and Classic Rock music. Celebrated for music that is undeniably relatable, King has turned everyday therapy into sonic art. King has recorded numerous singles and performed hundreds of gigs including Long Island’s famed Stephen Talkhouse, and NYC’s Bitter End & Rockwood Music Hall. She has written songs for artist Kara Grainger (Favorite Sin) that appear on Grainger’s 2018 album Living With Your Ghost, which reached #3 on the Billboard Blues Album Charts.
