2009 Suhru Shiraz

This wine has a deep vibrant hue, violet purple in color. The aroma is bursting with white pepper, mint, cardamom and earl grey tea leaf. The aroma is reminiscent of a “spice rack”.  Red fruit abounds from the glass with dark plums, some bing cherry and peppery notes. The blend was enhanced with 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon to bring another dimension of fruit and tannin nuances. The wine finishes with soft mouth filling tannins, with hints of vanilla.

By the Bottle $21.95                By the Case $263.40

2010 Suhru Dry Riesling

This Riesling is made entirely in stainless steel and fermented cool (62 F) to accentuate the ‘minerality’, no malo-lactic secondary fermentation and bottled early to retain a zingy vibrant acidity. It is blended with 3% Gewurtraminer to add aromatics and richness to the wine.
Light yellow in color, hints of floral carnation petals, white peach and red delicious apple abound from the glass.  Lush tropical fruit mingles wonderfully with the zingy mid palate acidity.  It’s an excellent sipping wine and a perfect complement to shellfish and seafood.

By the Bottle $14.95          By the Case $179.40

2010 Suhru Pinot Grigio

This Pinot Grigio was made entirely in stainless steel, with no malo-lactic secondary fermentation and no barrel aging to accentuate the vibrant varietal fruit aromas/flavor and to retain substantial crisp acidity. It was blended with 5% Riesling which adds additional aromatics and acidity to the wine.
Pale straw yellow in color, inviting lemon zest aromas mingle beautifully with other citrus fruits. Some pear flavors become apparent on the palate mixed with a hint of grapefruit. The bright, crisp acidity doesn’t overwhelm the long lush finish.

2008 Suhru Red

This blend of four Bordeaux varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon mingles lush fruit forward flavors and full-bodied ‘fine’ tannin. Big and bold with moderate alcohol not to overwhelm the palate.

Black cherry, dark plums and wild blueberry fruit are apparent on the nose. All flow onto the palate with a hint of menthol coming through. A full mid-palate of tannins, some spicy flavors abound although the wine is a little “angular” right now. It will benefit from being paired with a juicy steak to compliment the tannins. It will soften beautifully with cellar age.

By the Bottle $19.95                 By the Case $234.40

2010 Suhru Shiraz Rose

The rebirth of quality ‘dry’ Rose has become apparent in the last decade. Our belief is in the use of spicy grape varietals to make the finest expression of this enjoyable sipping wine.

After a short, 18 hour ‘cold soak’ on skins to extract a vibrant red hue, the fruit was gently pressed. It is made entirely in stainless steel and fermented quite cool (60 F) to retain fruit and accentuate some esters developed during fermentation. No malo-lactic secondary fermentation was allowed to retain fruitiness and acidity. This wine was bottled early to retain the fruity esters and vibrant acidity.

Beautiful light red color is enticing to the senses. The nose abounds with berries: strawberry and cherry that also flow onto the palate. A cleansing and light finish with crisp mouth cleansing acidity at the end

By the Bottle $14.95                 By the Case $179.40
